370 gram inch sliced steak

2 sliced medium onions

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground black pepper

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

3 minced garlic cloves

3 tablespoons butter

3 chopped celery stalks

2 chopped carrots

170 grams sliced mushrooms

1 can Guinness

5 tablespoons flour

1/4 cup beef stock

180 grams shredded cheddar

egg wash

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 sheets pre made puff pastry


.add 3 tablespoons olive oil to frying pan on medium to high heat

.add 2 sliced medium onions, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

.add 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, 3 minced garlic cloves and stir

.add 3 tablespoons butter and stir

.add 3 chopped celery stalks and stir

.add 2 chopped carrots and stir

.add 170 grams sliced mushrooms and stir

.add 370 gram inch sliced steak and stir

.add 1/4 cup beef stock and 1 can Guinness and stir

.add 5 tablespoons flour and stir

.cover with lid and cook for 1 hour low to medium heat, occasionally stir

.Pre heat oven to 180 C

.coat pie dish with canola oil

.line the inside of the pie dish with 1 sheet of puff pastry

.fold inwards and cut off the excess pastry and patch on any edges

.fork the base of the pastry

.Pour filling in the dish and smooth out

.add 180 grams shredded cheddar

.score the top puff pastry sheet

.Cover with the scored sheet of puff pastry

.cut off excess pastry

.pick up and fold edges

.coat with egg wash

.place in the oven and cook for 40 minutes
