PASTA WITH PORK & BEEF SAUCE


INGREDIENTS :


2 tablespoons olive oil

170 grams bacon lardons

1 chopped onion

1 chopped green bell pepper

150 grams chopped mushrooms

4 minced garlic cloves

225 grams minced beef

225 grams minced pork

800 grams canned chopped tomatoes

1 fresh bay leaf

6 tablespoons tomato puree

1 tablespoon dried basil

4 tablespoons beef stock

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

450 grams penne pasta

Freshly grated parmesan


INSTRUCTIONS :


.cook 450 grams penne pasta in pot filled with water, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt

.in frying pan add 2 tablespoons olive oil on medium heat

.add 170 grams bacon lardons cook for 2 minutes

.add 1 chopped onion, 4 minced garlic cloves cook for 2 minutes

.Add 1 chopped green bell pepper, 150 grams chopped mushrooms cook for 2 minutes

.remove veg from frying pan and set aside

.in same pan add 225 grams minced beef,

225 grams minced pork cook until brown

.remove excess fat and add cooked veg

.add 800 grams canned chopped tomatoes , 1 fresh bay leaf and stir

.add 6 tablespoons tomato puree, 4 tablespoons beef stock

.add 1 tablespoon dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

.bring to boil and reduce to simmer for 10 minutes, stir occasionally

.serve with grated parmesan
