4 apples

.wash apples in warm water and dry

.insert bamboo skewers into apples

Chocolate Apple

.fill a pot with hot water and cover with a glass bowl

.add 300 grams chocolate and heat until melted

.apply melted chocolate on the apples and dip in sprinkles or add marshmallows

.place in the fridge to set

Caramel Apple

.in a pot on medium to high heat add 1cup butter

.once melted add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup brown sugar and stir

.add 1 cup light corn syrup, can sweet condensed milk and stir

.add 1 tablespoon vanilla extract and bring to the boil

.reduce heat to low to medium heat and stir continuously for 10 to 15 minutes

.add 1/8 teaspoon salt and continue to stir for 15 to 20 minutes

.caramel consistency should not be too soft or too hard

.to check consistency pour a little caramel into cold water and roll in your fingers

.if it rolls into a ball and keeps the shape it is ready

.leave caramel to cool for 5 minutes

.spread butter on parchment paper so caramel does not stick

.apply caramel to apple using a circular motion

.drizzle with melted chocolate

.place in fridge to set

.pour leftover caramel into baking dish covered with parchment paper

.place in fridge to set and cut into squares once set

Candied Apple

.in a pot add 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 cup water, 3/4 cup light corn syrup

.add 3/4 teaspoons red food colouring and mix

.cook for 35 minutes on medium heat

.to check consistency pour some into cold water

.when ready it should form threads

.apply to apple in a circular motion

.top with nerds or coconut shavings

.place in fridge to set
