CHICKEN BALTI


INGREDIENTS :


RICE INGREDIENTS :


1 Cup Basmati Rice

1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder

2 Bay Leaves

Pinch of Saffron

1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Pinch of Garam Masala

1/8 Teaspoon Curry powder


CHICKEN INGREDIENTS :


350 Grams Boneless Chicken Breast diced

2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1 Large Onion chopped

2 medium Tomatoes chopped

30 grams Ginger chopped

4 Garlic Cloves Minced

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/2 Tablespoon Chilli Powder

1/4 Tablespoon Turmeric

1/4 Tablespoon Garam Masala

1/2 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi

2 green Chillies chopped

1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

100 ML Water


INSTRUCTIONS :


RICE :


.Half fill pot with boiling water

.Add 2 Bay Leaves, 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder, 1/2 Teaspoon Salt,

.Add 1 Cup Basmati Rice

.Add Pinch of Saffron,1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

.Add Pinch of Garam Masala, 1/8 Teaspoon Curry powder

.Cook until rice is soft

.Drain rice with a colindar


CHICKEN :


.In frying pan add 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil on Medium heat.

.Add 1 Large chopped Onion cook for 2 to 3 minutes

.Add 30 grams Ginger chopped

4 Garlic Cloves Minced cook for 2 to 3 minutes

.Add 2 medium chopped Tomatoes and cook and stir

.Add 1/2 Teaspoon Salt, cook for further 2 minutes

.Add 1/2 Tablespoon Chilli Powder, 1/4 Tablespoon Turmeric, 1/2 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi, 1/4 Tablespoon Garam Masala, 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

.Add 350 Grams Boneless diced Chicken Breast

.Add 2 chopped green Chillies

.Cook until chicken is almost cooked

.Add 100 ML Water and leave to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes
