CHEESY GARLIC BREAD STICKS & MARINARA SAUCE


DOUGH :


3 1/3 All Purpose Flour

1/2 teaspoons + 1/2 Tablespoon Salt

1 Teaspoon Honey

1 Sachet Active Dry Yeast

1 1/4 Cup Warm Water

1/2 cup + 1/2 Teaspoon Olive Oil

1 tablespoon oregano

1 tablespoon garlic powder

grated parmesan cheese


MARINARA SAUCE :


7 minced garlic cloves

1 chopped medium onion

3 teaspoons sugar

1/2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons pepper

3 tablespoons olive oil

14 chopped basil leaves

400 gram chopped tomatoes in tomatoe juice


INSTRUCTIONS :


DOUGH :


.in small bowl Add 1 1/4 Cup Warm Water and 1/2 Tablespoon Salt,1 Teaspoon Honey and mix together

.Add 1 Sachet Active Dry Yeast and leave to sit for 5 to 10 minutes

.In a mixing bowl add 3 1/3 All Purpose Flour Create a well in the flour

.Once yeast has bloomed give a stir and add to flour

.once mixed, knead the dough ( don't over work the dough )

.coat bowl with Olive oil and coat dough

.Cover with wrap and leave to sit for 1 to 2 hours or dough is doubled in size

.once dough is ready cut in half

.sprinkle flour on parchment paper and rolling pin and place dough

.sprinkle flour on dough and roll

.with a pizza cutter cut the dough into strips

.weave two strips together and pinch the ends

.repeat this process with the 2nd half of dough

.place on a baking tray with parchment paper

.in a small bowl add 1/2 cup olive olive, 1 tablespoon oregano, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix together

.coat dough with olive oil mixture

.sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top

.in a pre heated oven 180 C bake until golden brown ( approx 15 minutes )



MARINARA SAUCE :


.in pot on medium heat add 3 tablespoons olive oil

.add 7 minced garlic cloves, 1 chopped medium onion

.add 400 grams chopped tomatoes in tomato juice

.add 14 chopped basil leaves, 1/2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons black pepper, 2 teaspoons sugar and mix together

.cook on simmer for 10 minutes

.with hand blender blitz until smooth consistency
